"Interesting Times" certainly comes to mind as we head into the second half of 2007. Both the Coulson Flying Tankers and RimRock Gaming Center present unique challenges and unique opportunities to our Company.
Coulson Flying Tankers has cleared most of the hurdles that present themselves with a new commercial aviation venture. Welcome to our new employees associated with this exciting venture. Operating and Maintenance manuals have been modified or completed, training in both classrooms and on aircraft (static) has been completed, and flight testing and training are well underway. We will operate primarily one aircraft this summer for the BC Forest Service. The Martin Mars can be seen around town doing solo training and also in unison with the Forest Service "bird dog" lead plane.
RimRock Gaming Center construction continues to progress. Many of the timber structures are erected and some of the many species of trees are going into place. The micro-brewery building has been approved and is under construction, and the large timber main entranceway structure will go up over the next few weeks. The Administration Offices will be completed by July 25th and office relocation will commence.
Coulson Aircrane has completed putting C-FMAY back into the air. She will start work in the Toquart and Cataract area doing heli-logging. This will be her primary role (hopefully with some fire season cut-ins) until well into fall of this year. All going well with contracts we will be sending MAY to Australia for their 2007/2008 season as our second S-61. We are currently fitting an external water tank to MAY that we will test and approve in both Canada and the US.
Below is the water tank to be fitted to C-FMAY and MAY in the hangar being overhauled.
