| TLF 54 Kennedy Flats |
There are many changes underway within the Coulson Group: the gaming centre, the Martin Mars and TFL 54, but in logging we are stuck behind some very tough road building. In June we have managed to hit our conventional logging targets, but it took some fancy foot work to do it. Road targets keep moving which in turn changes available production, but we have done well to stay close to budget. There are costs attached to these delays but I think July will be a breakout month and by month end we should have volumes on three fronts to develop into a more consistent program.
Cataract is fast becoming the main production area. We have the "Strength in Partnership" (Probyn) wood to start off this month with. This will put stress at the DLS as our fiber and theirs doesn't mix. But due to the lack of CFP volume we will start off at our normal 550 m3/day, going one way, and then ramp up to 800m3/day going two ways. We had experience with this last year and it was costly, so this year we will perfect it.

The Probyn wood is 95% heli; CFMAY is due out of the hanger by month end. We have small volumes of wood everywhere that needs to be cleaned up. It will help to have the aircraft available. Like road it has been a missing part of the program.
TFL 54 is still in start-up mode in the old growth areas but our second growth program has begun with hauling starting July 2. It will be interesting when we get this on line. The LL4 Cat 330C will be the loader with a whole new loading program; target is about 550 m3/day.
We have inserted two of our off highway purchases into Cataract with success. The H 10 / H 2 have been removed from service and moved to the Alberni shop. The H 10 will be evaluated for rebuild and the H 2 may be surplused. We have been getting some of the nagging maintenance issues dealt with but still have a long way to go to get ahead of repairs.
