June, 2007 Volume 07-126

By John Kuch, Production ManagerMill Report

Summer is slowly arriving and things are still hectic at CML.

The mill is still on the 7-day a week operating schedule. We have just done 2 weeks of custom cuts for Trapa and Almack. Trapa cut balsam and hemlock and Almac did a yellow cedar cut. We will be going on to our own cedar for about 2 1⁄2 weeks after the completion of the custom cuts.

COULSON MANUFACTURING JUNE 7, 2007

Patsy Wallman worked until after midnight on June 21st finishing off the Trapa custom cuts and allowing us to get their wood on the June Vessel. If Patsy hadn't stayed, the lumber would not have made the boat and the customer would have had to wait until the end of July for shipment. This was an outstanding job by Patsy and is the kind of thing that makes us look good in the market place.

The crews at CSL have been working extra hours to try and catch up on some of the backlog in our yard.

There have been many favourable comments about the presentation of our products. This is due to the improved piling and packaging at CML. This is the kind of think that will keep us in the markets when the next downturn comes. Good work to Everyone.

Until next time, Please work safe and play safe.
