Forest Stewardship Plans (F.S.P.)

The FSP for TLF 54 has been completed and submitted to the District Manager for approval We have been advised that the District Manager will be presenting the FSP to the Clayoqout Sound Central Region Board for review and comment on December 13, 2007. Ron Sorensen and I have been invited to attend the CRB meeting. The referral to the CRB is the last step required for the District Manager before making a decision to approve the FSP. We expect the plan to be approved by January 31, 2008.

Cutting Permits

The next cutting permit for TFL54 are blocks E19A, E22, and E24 consisting of 20,000m3. This permit will be CP116 and is located in the Escalante River. It will be operated out of the camp at Stewardson Inlet.

ISO14001

During the next month Ron Sorensen and I will be reviewing our EMS online ISO14001 manual and reporting system. During the 2007 audit we found that the document control procedures need re-vamping and several reporting forms must be updated. We also need to add the Coulson Mars Water Bombers facility to the EMS system. George Rose will be helping with the website revisions.

2007 in Review

We had a very hectic year during 2007. TFL54 was added and we relocated our forestry engineering office to 3416 – 4th Avenue. TLF54 has a cut of 68,000m3 per year and is a challenge that our forestry team is looking forward to practice world class forestry. I would like to thank Ron and Zolie for all the good work they have done.

From Ron, Zolie and myself we wish everyone on the Coulson Team and their families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
